Madhya Pradesh government is running Mukhyamantri Kanya Abhibhavak Pension Yojana for couples who have only daughters and no living son. Eligible couples get a monthly pension of ₹600, paid straight into their bank account through the state social security pension system.
Pension amount under this scheme was raised from ₹500 to ₹600 per month along with the other social security pensions of the state. Applications stay open all year, and the whole process is now handled through the Samagra pension portal using a 9 digit Samagra ID.
Mukhyamantri Kanya Abhibhavak Pension Yojana 2026 Details
Scheme started on 1 April 2013 and is run by the Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh. Aim is simple. Parents who raised only daughters often have nobody to support them in old age, so the state gives them a small monthly income for life.
Pension is paid every month once the application is approved. Approval is done by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat in rural areas, and by the Municipal Commissioner or Chief Municipal Officer in urban areas. Under Public Service Guarantee Act 2010, the application has to be decided within 15 working days.

Who Can Apply
Rules for this pension are short and clear. Before applying, check these points carefully because the certificate about having only daughters is the main condition here.
- Applicant must be a native resident of Madhya Pradesh, and residence proof is checked at the time of approval.
- Either the husband or the wife should be 60 years of age or above on the date of applying.
- Couple should have only daughters, with no living son at the time of application.
- Applicant should not be an income tax payer, and a self declaration about this has to be given with the form.
Widows and abandoned women who fit the same conditions can also apply on their own. In such cases the death certificate of the husband, or the court order in case of an abandoned woman, has to be attached. Women in other situations may check Mukhyamantri Kalyani Pension Yojana or Mukhyamantri Avivahita Pension Yojana, which also give ₹600 a month.
Documents Required
Papers asked for are basic ones that most families already have at home. Keep photocopies ready before going to the office.
- Certificate showing the couple has only daughters and no living son, issued by the local body.
- Self declaration that the applicant does not pay income tax.
- Age proof and residence proof, such as Aadhaar, voter card or a certificate from the local office.
- Joint photo of the couple, or a single photo where only one person is applying.
- Samagra ID, Aadhaar number and bank passbook copy for the DBT payment.
Payment and Status Check
Money is sent every month to the bank or post office account linked with the Samagra ID. If a payment does not come, check the pension status page on the social security portal first, since most delays happen because of a wrong account number or an unlinked Aadhaar. Local Gram Panchayat or Nagar Palika office can correct these details.
