1. Children studying in the same stage of education in different subjects, for example Class XI Arts after Class XI Science, are not eligible.
2. Students who completed one professional stream and start another, such as LLB after B.Ed, cannot apply because only one professional stream is allowed.
3. Students under full-time employment during their studies are not eligible.
4. Students pursuing part-time courses are excluded.

Steps for new worker registration:

STEP 1 - Visit the official portal at megbocwwb.gov.in and click the 'Worker' button to create a new account.

STEP 2 - Login using the User ID (mobile number) and password.

STEP 3 - Select 'Apply for New Registration' and fill in personal, work and bank details.

STEP 4 - Upload required documents such as photograph, ID proof and employer certificate.

STEP 5 - Track the application status on the portal. After verification by the District Labour Commissioner, the worker certificate is generated.
