Telangana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is paying a one-time Marriage Gift of ₹30,000 in 2026 to unmarried women construction workers and to daughters of registered workers. Claims are open all year at the local labour office, as long as they reach within one year of the wedding.

Pending claims are moving faster this year. In March 2026, the labour department approved 13,820 claims under the board's schemes and sent ₹61.22 crore straight to workers' bank accounts, as reported by Deccan Chronicle. Officials were also told to re-check rejected claims and give applicants a clear reason for each rejection.

Marriage Gift Scheme Telangana 2026

This scheme started on 28 October 2011 with ₹5,000. It went up to ₹10,000 for marriages from 1 May 2015, and then to ₹30,000 for marriages on or after 1 May 2017 under G.O.Ms.No.13 dated 29 April 2017. No new hike has been notified since then. All orders are on the board's Government Orders page.
