Telangana govt. is implementing Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam Scheme 2021 in the state since 2014 to provide financial assistance to SC/ST/BC girl’s marriage. The state govt. is offering around Rs. 75000 cheque on girl marriage who belongs to SC/ST family and minority communities.
Previously, the amount under the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme was Rs. 50000 but recently, this amount has been increased from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 by the State government. According to the official notification, the govt. has already distributed the cheques to 14 beneficiaries under the scheme at Madgulapally in the district.

In the last fiscal year, Over 40,000 young girls from the backward classes and economically backward sections have taken the benefit of the scheme. Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme Highlights
- The applicant should have permanent residence in the state.
- The minimum age of the scheme beneficiary must be 18 years.
- Annual household income should be less than Rs. 2 lakh in urban areas.
- In rural areas annual household income should be less than Rs. 1.5 lakh.

Telangana government has raised the amount under Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam Scheme by 25% for disabled women. The state govt. will now offer Rs. 1,25,145 to women with disabilities on the occasion of their marriage. Previously, the govt. provides Rs. 1,00,116 under Kalyana Laxmi Yojana to low-income families who are deprived of performing marriages of their girl children.
All the interested people who wants to avail this marriage assistance scheme benefits can now apply online at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in. The enhanced 25% of the amount is to be paid to eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.

Eligibility to Get Raised Amount under Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme in Telangana
All the girl beneficiaries must fulfill the following conditions to avail the raised Kalyana Laxmi Amount benefits:-
- The applicant should have permanent residence in the Telangana state.
- The minimum age of the girl beneficiary must be 18 years.
- The girl must be a disabled, however there is no information regarding the percentage of disability.
- For SC / ST girls, the income limit is Rs. 2 lakh while for BC / EBC category girls, the income limit is Rs. 1.5 lakh for rural areas and Rs. 2 lakh for urban areas.
