Madhya Pradesh government is running Kishori Balika Yojana in 2026 for adolescent girls between 11 and 18 years, and registration stays open all year through Anganwadi centres. Girls get free skill, health and cleanliness training, and school dropout girls in the 11 to 14 age group also get supplementary nutrition as take home ration for 6 days a week.

Women and Child Development Department, Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme with support from the central Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 rules. No fee is charged, and there is no online form. A girl only has to reach her nearest Anganwadi centre with basic documents.

Kishori Balika Yojana Registration at Anganwadi Centre

Registration is offline only in 2026. Anganwadi worker of your area keeps the register of adolescent girls, and she adds new names during home visit surveys as well. So even if you do not go yourself, the worker may enrol you when she visits your house.

STEP 1 - Find out the Anganwadi centre of your ward or village. Every Gram Panchayat has at least one centre, and the sarpanch office or the ASHA worker can tell you the exact place.

STEP 2 - Meet the Anganwadi worker and tell her you want to join Kishori Balika Yojana. She will ask your age, school status and family details.

STEP 3 - Give a copy of your Aadhaar card, birth certificate or school certificate for age proof, and any address proof of Madhya Pradesh. Original papers are only shown for checking, not kept.

STEP 4 - Your name is entered in the adolescent girl register of the centre. After this the worker tells you the date of the next training session and, if you are a school dropout girl of 11 to 14 years, the day for collecting take home ration.

STEP 5 - Keep attending the monthly two day sessions. Attendance is marked, and girls with regular attendance get first chance in extra skill workshops held at Gram Panchayat level.

Benefits Given in 2026

Benefits are given in kind, not as cash in bank. Two parts run side by side, one is training and the other is nutrition support for girls who left school early.

  • Master trainer sessions - Two girls from every Anganwadi centre, along with one Anganwadi worker and one ANM, attend a two day training every month. They learn work skills, health topics and personal cleanliness in detail.
  • Village level classes - Those trained girls come back and teach other girls at Gram Panchayat level, so the learning spreads without anyone having to travel far.
  • Take home ration - School dropout girls of 11 to 14 years get supplementary nutrition food for 6 days a week from the Anganwadi centre, as per the rules fixed by the central government and followed by selected districts of the state.

Training material like kits and printed guides is also given free during the sessions. Girls learn about iron and folic acid tablets, menstrual cleanliness, food habits and simple income work like tailoring and handicraft, depending on what the district office arranges.

Who Can Apply

Rules are simple and there is no income limit. Any girl of the state in the right age group can get her name added at the centre.

  • Girl must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh with local address proof.
  • Age must be between 11 and 18 years on the date of registration.
  • All castes are covered, whether General, OBC, SC or ST.
  • Take home ration part is only for school dropout girls of 11 to 14 years, in districts selected by the state under central rules.

Getting benefit from any other government scheme, such as Ladli Laxmi Yojana or a scholarship, does not stop a girl from joining this scheme.

Documents Required

Papers asked at the centre are basic. Photocopies are enough in most cases, and the worker helps if something is missing.

Aadhaar card of the girl, birth certificate or school marksheet for age proof, Madhya Pradesh address proof like samagra ID, ration card or voter ID of a parent, and one passport size photo. School leaving certificate is asked only from dropout girls applying for the ration part.

Scheme Status in 2026

Scheme is running. It is not closed and not merged out of existence. Work now happens under the Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 system, so the nutrition part and the training part are handled through the same Anganwadi network. Districts selected by the state government carry out the take home ration part as per central norms.

For any complaint about not getting ration, or an Anganwadi worker refusing to register a name, call CM Helpline 181. Complaint can also be given in writing at the district Women and Child Development office, and it is tracked with a number.
