Madhya Pradesh government is running Ladli Laxmi Yojana for girl children born on or after 1 January 2006, and registration through Anganwadi centres and the official portal is open right now. Every registered girl gets an assurance certificate of ₹1,43,000 in her name, paid out in parts from Class 6 up to the age of 21.

Numbers on the official portal show how big this scheme has become. Over 53.80 lakh girls are registered, more than 29.26 lakh scholarships have been approved, and about ₹1,028 crore of scholarship money has been sanctioned so far. Scheme started on 1 April 2007 and now runs in its 2.0 form under the Women and Child Development Department.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2026 Online Application Process

Applying is free and can be done online from home, or through your nearest Anganwadi centre or public service centre if you are not comfortable with the online process. Before you start, make sure the girl child and the family both have a Samagra ID, and that Aadhaar e-KYC is completed in Samagra, because the portal picks up family details from there. Follow the steps below.

STEP 1 - Open the official website at ladlilaxmi.mp.gov.in and look for the apply option on the homepage.

STEP 2 - Click on Aavedan Karein (Apply Online), read the scheme rules shown on that page and tick the self declaration box.

STEP 3 - Enter the Samagra ID of the girl child and the Samagra family ID, then click on the search button so the portal can pull the family record.

STEP 4 - Check the details that appear on screen, fill in the remaining information like birth details, Anganwadi centre and parent details, and upload the required photos and certificate.

STEP 5 - Submit the form and note down the Ladli registration number. This number is later used to check the profile, download the assurance certificate and fill the scholarship form on the portal.

If Samagra e-KYC is pending, complete it first at samagra.gov.in Aadhaar e-KYC page. Applications sent without e-KYC often get stuck at the checking stage.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana Benefit Amount and Payment Stages

Money does not come in one go. Government issues an assurance certificate of ₹1,43,000 in the girl's name at the time of registration, and payments are released as she crosses each study stage. Scholarship money goes straight to the bank account linked with her record, so keeping the account active and Aadhaar seeded matters.

Stage Amount
Assurance certificate value ₹1,43,000
Registration deposit (₹6,000 per year for 5 years) ₹30,000
Admission in Class 6 ₹2,000
Admission in Class 9 ₹4,000
Admission in Class 11 ₹6,000
Admission in Class 12 ₹6,000
Graduation or professional course (min 2 years) ₹25,000 in two equal parts
Final payment at 21 years ₹1,00,000

Under Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0, the state also pays the college fee for higher study of registered girls in graduation level courses, including medical, engineering and law courses in government and approved institutions. Career guidance material is given on the portal as well, so girls can pick a course after Class 12 with some idea of the options.

Who Can Apply for Ladli Laxmi Yojana

Rules are simple and mostly checked from the Samagra record itself. Points below explain who qualifies.

  • Girl child must be born on or after 1 January 2006 and her birth should be registered.
  • Girl must be registered at the local Anganwadi centre, and registration is normally done within one year of birth.
  • Parents must be original residents of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Parents must not be income tax payers.
  • Family planning should be adopted after the second child, and a certificate is needed when applying for the second girl.

Some special cases are also covered. Girls in orphanages, adopted girls, children of women in jail, and girls born to survivors of sexual assault can be registered even if the usual conditions are not fully met. In such cases the district collector can approve a late application after checking the papers, and registration is allowed up to 5 years of age for the girl.
