Madhya Pradesh government is running Kisan Credit Card Scheme for Fisheries as a part of Mukhyamantri Machhua Samridhi Yojana, and fish farmers can get working capital at zero percent interest through cooperative banks. State cabinet has approved ₹200 crore for this scheme for the years 2026-27 and 2027-28, so the KCC interest subsidy support continues for two more years.

Fisheries Welfare and Fisheries Development Department, Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme fully with state funds. Fish farmers, fishermen cooperative societies and self help groups working in fish farming can apply at their district fisheries office. Along with the credit card support, the same scheme gives 40 percent subsidy on fish seed rearing and prawn farming units.

Kisan Credit Card Scheme for Fisheries Under Mukhyamantri Machhua Samridhi Yojana

Fish farming needs money every season. Seed, feed, netting, pond repair, labour, all of it comes before the fish is sold. That is where this credit card helps. Loan is given through cooperative banks and the interest part is paid by the state, so the farmer repays only the principal if repayment conditions are met on time.

Scheme started after the cabinet decision of 09 November 2022 for the years 2022-23 and 2023-24, and it has been carried forward since. In 2026 the scheme is running with fresh money approved for two more financial years. Loan limit is not fixed by the department. Bank decides your limit as per its own norms and your fish farming activity, same way a normal KCC limit is worked out for crop farmers.
