Integrated Social Security Scheme: Old Age Pension - Introduction

Integrated Social Security Scheme: Old Age Pension is a key part of the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS) in Ladakh. It acts as a safety net for elderly people who are destitute, meaning they have no way to earn on their own and no financial help from family members or any other source.

Only permanent residents of Ladakh who belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category can apply. The pension amount of ₹1,000 per month is paid directly to help the beneficiary meet everyday needs.
