Generator Subsidy is a supportive financial scheme for both new and existing micro, small and medium manufacturing enterprises in Tamil Nadu. Under this scheme, businesses get a 25% subsidy on the cost of generators up to 320 KVA capacity, with the support capped at a maximum of ₹ 5,00,000.
The scheme is run by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu and stays open for new and existing manufacturing units across the state. Applications are accepted online through the official MSME portal.
Generator Subsidy - Introduction
Generator Subsidy helps new and existing micro, small and medium manufacturing enterprises lower their operating costs. By offering a 25% subsidy on the purchase of a generator up to 320 KVA capacity, this scheme keeps factories powered without putting too much pressure on business finances. The government provides this support up to a maximum of ₹ 5,00,000 to help industrial units grow.
Because Tamil Nadu depends heavily on industrial output, reliable power is a big part of production. Power cuts can slow down machines and raise costs, and this scheme is made for manufacturing units that need a steady source of backup power. Both new units starting out and existing units already running can apply for this benefit.
