Madhya Pradesh Labour Department is running Nirmaan Sthal Par Karya Ke Dauran A-panjeekrat Shramik Ke Mratyu Ki Dasha Me Antyeshti Evan Anugrah Rashi Bhugatan Yojana for families of construction workers who are not registered with the welfare board. If a worker dies during work at a construction site, the legal heirs get ₹3,000 for funeral costs and up to ₹4,00,000 as ex-gratia money.
Applications are taken offline, and the claim has to reach the office within 6 months of the death or accident. As on 03 August 2026, no closure notice has come out for this scheme, so families of unregistered workers can still file their claim.
Nirmaan Sthal Par Karya Ke Dauran A-panjeekrat Shramik Ke Mratyu Ki Dasha Me Antyeshti Evan Anugrah Rashi Bhugatan Yojana 2026
Scheme is run by Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh and covers workers who were doing building or construction work but never got their name added to the Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board list. Normally board benefits go only to card holding workers. Here that condition is dropped, because the death happened at the work site itself.
Money goes straight to the bank account of the legal heir through DBT payment. So the heir should have a bank account with Aadhaar linked to it, otherwise the payment gets stuck. Registered workers have a separate death benefit scheme with different amounts, and both should not be mixed up while applying.

STEP 2 - Fill the form with the worker details, date and place of the accident, name of the site or contractor, and the bank account details of the heir.

Other Support for Workers
Families who lose the earning member can also check other state support like Mukhyamantri Majadoor Suraksha Yojana, which covers labourers with separate benefits. Getting the surviving family members registered as construction workers with the board is also a good step, since card holders get pension, maternity, study and higher death benefits later.
