Eligibility

To take part, a candidate should be an Indian steel company, a professional team, or an individual contributor. For company and team awards like the Efficiency, Export, Sustainability, Indigenization, R&D, or Safety awards, the candidate must be a public or private steel entity working in India. The eligibility depends on crude steel production capacity:

Large Scale Producers: Capacity more than 1 Million Tonnes Per Annum.
Secondary Steel Producers: Capacity less than 1 Million Tonnes Per Annum.

For the Exceptional Contribution Award, the candidate should be an Indian citizen with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. The candidate should be between 25 and 60 years old and must have made very helpful contributions to the sector within the past 10 years, such as new and first research work or strong industry leadership.
