Central govt. has launched Pradhan Mantri Karam Yogi Maandhan (PM-KYM) Scheme to provide assured monthly pension to retail traders and small shopkeepers. PMKYM universal social security scheme to provide Rs. 3,000 p.m to traders and shop owners as announced in Union Budget 2019-20. This pension amount under PM Karam Yogi Maan Dhan Scheme would be provided on attaining the age of 60 years. Around 3 crore retail traders and shop keepers would be benefited from PM Karmayogi Mandhan Yojana in India.

PM Karam Yogi Maan Dhan Scheme Online Registration
The online registration process for PM Karam Yogi Maandhan Scheme (PM Laghu Vyapaari Maandhan Yojana) has been started at maandhan.in/vyapari. Now people can apply online for PM Laghu Vyapari Maan-dhan Yojana from any common service centre (CSC) or can perform self enrollment. The complete process to apply for PMLVMY scheme is given below:-

- At the homepage, click at the “Click here to Apply Now” link to open the page as shown below:-
- Here people can choose process of registration either “Self Enrollment (using mobile number & OTP)” or “CSC VLE (using CSC connect)” to apply online

- On entering the mobile number, PM Karam Yogi Mandhan Yojana registration page will appear as below:-
- Afterwards, a dashboard will open containing the name of schemes – Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana and National Pension Scheme for Traders & Self Employed Persons Yojana.

PM Karmayogi Mandhan Yojana Apply Offline at CSCs
All the interested people can even enrol themselves for Pradhan Mantri Karmayogi Mandhan Yojana through more than 3,25,000 Common Service Centres (CSCs) spread across the country.
- People can take their aadhaar card along with their savings / Jan-dhan bank account passbook to their nearest common service centers (CSCs).
- At the CSC, your monthly contribution amount would be decided depending on your age.
- Pay your first monthly contribution for PM Laghu Vyapari Maan-dhan Yojana at CSC itself.
- Put your signature on nomination and auto debit mandate.
- Then your Traders Pension Card will get generated. The next contributions would be deducted from the bank accounts itself.
Central govt. is going to make matching contribution in the subscribers account. For example – if person of 29 years age contributes Rs. 100 per month, then central govt. would contribute equal amount as subsidy into subscribers pension account every month.
Pradhan Mantri Karam Yogi Maandhan (PM-KYM) Scheme

- Under PM-KYM Pension Scheme, all shopkeepers, retail traders and self-employed persons would be provided with an assured minimum monthly pension of Rs. 3,000.
- All the traders and small shop owners across the country are entitled for this pension benefits on attaining the age of 60 years.
- All PM Karam Yogi Maan Dhan Scheme beneficiaries must have annual turnover less than Rs. 1.5 crore.
- The age of the Pradhan Mantri Karmayogi Mandhan Yojana beneficiary must lie between 18 to 40 years.
- PM Retail Trader’s Pension Scheme will cover 3 crore small shopkeepers and retail traders.
Documents Required for PM Karam Yogi Mandhan Scheme – PMKYM scheme is based on self-declaration as no documents are required except Aadhaar and bank account.
Eligibility for PM Karam Yogi Mandhan Yojana
The eligibility criteria to become eligible for PM Karam Yogi Maandhan Yojana is described below:-
— Only small shopkeepers, traders in the age group of 18 to 40 years are eligible.
— The applicant must not be an existing beneficiary of EPFO, ESIC, NPS, PM-SYM schemes or an income tax payee.
National Pension Scheme for Traders and Self Employed Persons Yojana is a government scheme meant for old age protection and social security of Shopkeeper’s, Retail traders and Self Employed persons.

National Pension Scheme for Traders & Self Employed Persons Benefits
The benefits of National Pension Scheme for traders, small shopkeepers and self employed persons are as follows:-
- Each beneficiary to get fixed monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 per month on attainment of 60 years of age.
- NPS for traders & self employed persons is a voluntary contribution scheme for traders, retailers, small shopkeepers.
- Central govt. will also pay matching amount of contribution.
- The monthly contribution amount will range from Rs. 55 to Rs. 200 as per the age of applicant.
- The pension amount would be provided through Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India.
