Palakmantri Earth Moving Machines Kharedi Yojana is a scheme announced by Maharashtra Government in the 2016-17 budget session. Under the scheme, the government planned to provide training to the rural youth for employment. Apart from the training, the government also planned to help the skilled and trained rural youth get loans from the nationalized banks to buy earth moving machines. The bought machinery was to be deployed in NREGA, construction of roads and dams.

Scheme has been closed or it was a one time scheme which has been closed by the government.

Through Palakmantri Earth Moving Machines Kharedi Yojana, the government wanted to provide job opportunities and create rural entrepreneurs. In the countryside, most roads that connect to the farms are not in a good condition and lack means of transport. There was a long-pending demand to modernize these roads.

IMPORTANT: This scheme was discontinued by the state government. No latest update has been found for this scheme, not even in the 2025-26 budget speech or the 2026-27 Maharashtra budget documents.

The government had set aside Rs. 100 Crores for the Palakmantri Earth Moving Machines Yojana in the 2016-17 budget. The government had even announced some other schemes for the betterment of agriculture sector in the state including the Palakmantri Panand Raste Yojana.
