Andhra Pradesh State Pension (NTR Bharosa) is the social welfare pension scheme of the Andhra Pradesh government. Earlier known as YSR Pension Kanuka, this scheme was renamed by the TDP-led government in June 2024. It gives a monthly pension to senior citizens, widows, disabled persons, weavers, toddy tappers, single women, fishermen, traditional cobblers, dappu artists, transgender people and chronic kidney patients. Eligible people can check the status, download the application form PDF and view the beneficiary list at the official sspensions.ap.gov.in portal.

NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme Status
Former Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched YSR Pension Kanuka on 9 July 2019. After the 2024 assembly election, the TDP-led NDA government under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu renamed the scheme as NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme. Along with the name change, the pension amounts were also increased from July 2024 through G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13 June 2024.
Under this scheme, social security pension is given to elderly, disabled, widow, weavers, toddy tappers, single women, fishermen, cobbler, dappu artists, dialysis patients and others. People can download the NTR Bharosa Pension application form PDF or apply for pension through the Village and Ward Secretariats for their name inclusion in the list of pensioners. Types of Pensioners in NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme
The following people are covered under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme:-
- Old Age People: Senior citizens aged 60 years and above get a monthly pension.
- Widow Women: Widows aged 18 years and above are covered under this scheme.
- Disabled Persons: People with minimum 40% disability get the pension.
- Weavers, Toddy Tappers and Fishermen: Registered workers in these trades get the pension.
- Single Women, Transgender and Traditional Cobblers: These groups are also covered.
- Dialysis Patients and Chronic Kidney Patients: They get a higher pension amount.
Search Pension Status for NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme
To check the application status of the pension scheme, you need to follow the simple steps given below:-
STEP 1 - Visit the official website at sspensions.ap.gov.in/SSP.
STEP 2 - On the home page, click at the "Search Pension Status" option in the main menu. A new page will open where you can search using Pension ID, Ration Card Number or SADAREM ID.

STEP 3 - Choose your desired option as either Pension ID or Grievance ID. On the next web page, enter the information and click on submit. The application status will be displayed on your screen.
NTR Bharosa Pension Search With Pension ID
To search the pension status with the Pension ID, follow the steps given below:-
STEP 1 - Go to the official website of NTR Bharosa Pension at sspensions.ap.gov.in/SSP/.
STEP 2 - On the home page, click at the "Search" tab. In the next opened window, click at the Pension ID to open the search with Pension ID page as shown below:-

STEP 3 - Enter the pension ID or ration card number or SADAREM ID. Then select your District, Mandal, Panchayat and habitation. After that, click on the "Go" button. The required information will be on your computer screen.
NTR Bharosa Pension Search With Grievance ID
To search the pension status with the grievance ID, follow the steps given below:-
STEP 1 - Visit the official website of NTR Bharosa Pension at sspensions.ap.gov.in/SSP/.
STEP 2 - On the home page, click at the "Search" button in the main menu. In the newly opened window, hit at the "Grievance ID" to open the search with grievance ID page as shown below:-

STEP 3 - Here you have to enter your grievance ID or ration card number and then select "District" name. After that, click on "Go" tab. By following this procedure you can perform the NTR Bharosa Pension search with Grievance ID.
NTR Bharosa Pension Beneficiary List / Report
Through the implementation of NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, the government provides incentives to the economically backward or socially backward people of the state. In addition to this, a fixed amount of incentives are designated for the backward community in Andhra Pradesh. With the successful implementation of the scheme, many incentives would be provided so that smooth functioning of the life of the economically backward people takes place. Eligibility Criteria for NTR Bharosa Pension
To be eligible for the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, the applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria given below:-
- First, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- The applicant must belong to the below poverty line category and hold a white ration card.
- Rural family income should be up to Rs. 10,000 per month and urban family income up to Rs. 12,000 per month.
- He / She must fulfill the age criteria as specified below and must not be getting any other government pension.
Age Criteria for NTR Bharosa Pension
The applicants must follow the following age criteria mentioned below:-

Selection Process of NTR Bharosa Pension Beneficiary
To select the beneficiary and distribute the pensions, the following steps will be taken into consideration by the concerned authorities of the scheme:-
STEP 1 - First, all applicants will apply for the scheme through the government office or the gram panchayat office. After this, the application forms will be forwarded to the gram sabha for approval and scrutiny.
STEP 2 - After the gram sabha approval and verification, the forms will be forwarded to the concerned MPO authorities. Verification will be done at the MPO office or the municipal office.
STEP 3 - After successful verification, the pension amount will be again provided to the Gram Panchayat or the Government Office. From the Government or the Gram panchayat office, the amount will be distributed to the beneficiaries.
Pension Amount in NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme
The Andhra Pradesh government is committed to the welfare and development of all segments of the society. As part of the Navarathnalu, enhancement of pension amount and reduction in the age criteria for old age pension is a major welfare measure to help the poor and at risk sections of the society. The pension amounts were increased from July 2024 under G.O.Ms.No. 43 dated 13 June 2024. People can now check the enhanced pension amount in the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme:-
- Old Age Persons, Widow, Toddy Tappers, Weavers, Single Women, Fishermen, ART (PLHIV) Persons, Traditional Cobblers, Transgender and Dappu Artists - Rs. 4,000/- per month
- Disabled Persons and Multi-Deformity Leprosy Persons - Rs. 6,000/- per month
- Fully Disabled Persons - Rs. 10,000/- per month
- Bedridden Persons - Rs. 15,000/- per month
- People affected with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKDU) undergoing dialysis or transplant in government or network hospitals - Rs. 10,000/- per month
- Spouse Category - Rs. 4,000/- per month
The enhanced scale of pension has come into effect from July 2024 onward.

- Pension is paid directly to the bank account of the beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- Pension amounts are generally credited between the 1st and 4th of every month.
- The scheme covers over 60 lakh beneficiaries across all districts of Andhra Pradesh.
- The budget allocation for the scheme is around Rs. 32,143 crore for the financial year 2025-26.
