Chhattisgarh government runs Mukhyamantri Gyan Protsahan Yojana 2026 for SC and ST students who score well in Class 10th and 12th board exams, and registration for this scholarship now happens through Chhattisgarh state government's official portal. Selected students get ₹15,000 as a one-time cash reward, and the scheme covers around 1000 students every year.
Earlier, students had to download a PDF application form from eduportal.cg.nic.in and submit it physically at their school. That offline process has been replaced. Applications, document upload, verification and even claim or objection related to merit list are now handled fully online on the new scholarship portal at schoolscholarship.cg.nic.in.
Mukhyamantri Gyan Protsahan Yojana 2026 Online Registration
Registration for this scholarship opens on Chhattisgarh Scholarship Portal after board results of Class 10th and 12th are declared each year. Students need their CGBSE, CBSE or ICSE roll number, mobile number and basic personal details on hand before starting the process.
STEP 1 - Go to official Chhattisgarh Scholarship Portal at schoolscholarship.cg.nic.in and look for Mukhyamantri Gyan Protsahan Yojana registration link on the homepage.
STEP 2 - Click on New Registration and enter Class 10th or 12th board roll number along with mobile number, name and date of birth as asked on the form.
STEP 3 - Save username and password generated after registration, then log back in to complete the application.
STEP 4 - Upload caste certificate, income certificate, mark sheet, Aadhaar number and bank account details with IFSC code in required fields.
STEP 5 - Submit the form. School authorities verify details online, and students can track application status by logging into the same portal.
Old Application Form Process (Discontinued)
Before the portal moved online, candidates downloaded the application format from eduportal.cg.nic.in, filled it by hand and submitted the printed copy at their school or education department office. Screenshots of that older process are shown below for reference, though the offline route is no longer used for new applications.

Eligibility for Gyan Protsahan Yojana
Only students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category are covered under this scholarship. Applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh and must have passed or be studying in Class 10th or 12th from a school recognised by CGBSE, CBSE or ICSE. Students securing a place in merit list, generally with 60 percent or more marks, are considered for selection.
Chhattisgarh government picks about 1000 students under this scheme each year, out of which nearly 700 come from ST category and around 300 from SC category. Selection depends purely on merit rank and category quota, not on income of the family.
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
Selected students get ₹15,000 as a one-time reward for good performance in board exams. Money is sent directly to student's bank account through DBT, so no cash is handed over at school or office level.
