Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana UP 2025 beneficiary list has been updated by the state government. The main aim of this scheme is to provide permanent housing to poor rural families in Uttar Pradesh who are homeless, living in kutcha houses, or staying in dilapidated structures. The state government is giving free or subsidized houses to ensure that no rural family is left without shelter.

This Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana works as a support for those who could not get benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G). It not only covers housing but also connects beneficiaries with other welfare facilities like toilets, electricity, and health cover under Ayushman Bharat.

In September 2025, the eligibility criteria under the scheme have been expanded. Now, widows and destitute women up to 50 years of age are eligible, and Sapera and Jogi communities have also been included in the priority list. With this, thousands of additional families are expected to get permanent homes under the scheme.

According to the Rural Development Department, till now, 3.73 lakh beneficiaries have been allotted permanent houses, out of which 3.55 lakh houses have already been constructed. Special focus has been given to the Musahar community (50,037 houses), natural calamity-affected families (93,300 houses), Kol community (29,923 houses), persons with disabilities (91,062 houses), and destitute widows (41,854 houses).
