Housing Board Haryana Merger with HSVP - Latest Update 2026

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced in February 2026 that the state government has dissolved Housing Board Haryana and merged it fully into HSVP. Haryana Assembly passed a resolution for this merger, and government also brought the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Bill to give it legal effect. The idea was first mentioned by the Chief Minister during the budget speech for financial year 2025-26.

Government has said the merger will cut duplication of work between HBH and HSVP, since both bodies were handling overlapping housing and urban development functions. Jobs and service conditions of Housing Board employees have been protected as part of the merger. What Was Housing Board Haryana New Scheme for EWS Flats
