Cabinet Approval for Harihar Scheme

Earlier in April 2021, the Haryana cabinet approved the state's HARIHAR policy. Under this policy, the government aims to provide free child care, education, skill development, training, jobs on compassionate grounds, financial support, interest free home loan and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status to abandoned and orphaned children.

Free Education and Jobs in Haryana Harihar Scheme

Under Harihar Yojana, the Haryana state government bears the cost of education and upbringing of all destitute and orphan children coming to the children's home. On attaining the age of 18, abandoned and orphaned kids are given Group C and Group D jobs with the benefit of ex gratia. To get jobs, children do not have to give any kind of examination. For jobs under Class I and II, such a candidate has to complete post-graduation and clear a merit-based examination.
