The districts where it was launched on 26 January 2022 are Bidar, Koppal, Ballari, Belagavi, Haveri, Vijayapura, Davangere, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi and Kodagu. About 100 services related to revenue, food, health and labour departments were made available through the centres at that time.

The programme has since been expanded, and the centres now offer more than 800 services through the Seva Sindhu portal. The centres are run on a franchise model, and the government keeps opening fresh applications for new franchisees from time to time.
