Aadhaar Seva Kendra Appointment Booking Online: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) runs Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) as a single stop destination for all Aadhaar services. These centres are open all 7 days of the week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (IST). People can now plan a visit to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra by booking an online appointment, as these centres are built on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras. Apart from enrolling for a new Aadhaar card, people can update name, address, mobile number, email id, date of birth and gender in UIDAI's database through Aadhaar centres. People can also update photo and biometric data (fingerprint and iris) at their nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. The decision to start Aadhaar enrolment agency registration online is taken by UIDAI due to increasing footfall at these centres.

What is Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK)

Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) is a dedicated facility set up by UIDAI as a single stop destination for all Aadhaar services for residents. The ASK offers Aadhaar enrolment and update services in a modern, air-conditioned environment. All ASK are wheelchair friendly and have special provisions to serve the elderly and specially-abled.

In the first phase of the Aadhaar Seva Kendra project, UIDAI has opened Aadhaar Seva Kendra in 78 districts across India. These include dedicated centres in all metro cities, all state capitals and Union Territories. These ASK run along with over 66,000 Aadhaar Kendra already being run by banks, post offices, BSNL and state governments.

This portal is for booking an appointment at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra for new Aadhaar enrolment, Aadhaar update and other Aadhaar services. Along with the Aadhaar Seva Kendra project, UIDAI launched the online appointment booking facility for residents. All UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra follow the online appointment system where any resident can book an appointment for Aadhaar enrolment or update at any convenient ASK. Any resident can book an appointment for themselves or a family member from https://bookappointment.uidai.gov.in/.

This is a free service where a resident does not require an Aadhaar registered mobile number. However, one resident can book a maximum of 2 appointments in a month. Other Aadhaar Kendras available in banks, post offices, state government offices and BSNL centres are also being on-boarded to the online appointment system. Steps to Book an Appointment at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

STEP 1 - Open the official UIDAI appointment portal at bookappointment.uidai.gov.in on your phone or computer.

STEP 2 - Select the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or enrolment centre near you from the list of centres shown on the portal.

STEP 3 - Choose the service you need, whether it is new Aadhaar enrolment or an update of your existing Aadhaar details.

STEP 4 - Pick a convenient date and time slot from the available options and enter the required details to confirm the booking.

STEP 5 - Note down the appointment reference and visit the selected Aadhaar Seva Kendra at the scheduled time with the required documents.

Service Process at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

As per the defined model per district, the Aadhaar Seva Kendra have 4/8/16 operator stations with the capacity to handle up to 160/320/640 service requests per day. The ASK follow an online Appointment Management System (AMS) for residents who book their appointment before visiting, and an automated Token Management System (TMS) for walk-in residents at the ASK. Charges for Aadhaar Services at ASK

UIDAI has defined the charges to be paid by any resident wishing to avail Aadhaar services at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra of their choice. These are as follows:-

• Aadhaar Enrolment: Free
• Mandatory Biometric update for kids (at age 5 and 15 years): Free
• Biometric update (fingerprint, iris and photo) done otherwise: Rs 125
• Demographic update (name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile or email) done separately: Rs 75
• Demographic update done at the same time as biometric update: Free
• PoA/PoI document update at Aadhaar centre: Rs 75
• Download Aadhaar and coloured print: Rs 40

These charges are inclusive of any applicable taxes. The residents can make the payment at the cash counter available at the ASK or make online payment at the time of booking an online appointment from the UIDAI website.
