Madhya Pradesh government has launched Pratibha Yojana for the 2026-27 session to support talented Scheduled Tribe students who have cleared national competitive exams and secured admission in premier institutions. The scheme provides a one-time cash incentive of up to ₹50,000 directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account of eligible students. Applications for the current academic year are open through the upgraded MPTAAS 2.0 portal.
Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, runs this scheme since its launch on 01.09.2016. It covers students who have qualified in JEE, NEET, CLAT, AIIMS, or NDA and taken admission in IIT, NIT, NLU, AIIMS, or government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh for MBBS. The incentive amount depends on annual parental income.
Pratibha Yojana - Introduction
Pratibha Yojana stands as a dedicated effort by the Tribal Affairs Department to encourage meritorious students from the Scheduled Tribe category to pursue higher educational excellence. The scheme addresses the financial barrier that often stops bright ST students from joining top national institutions even after clearing tough entrance exams. Financial support is transferred directly to the bank account linked with Aadhaar, making the process transparent and quick.
