PMAY Urban 2.0 Portal - pmay-urban.gov.in
PMAY-U 2.0 is the new version of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban Housing Scheme. It runs for five years starting from 1 September 2024 and will support 1 crore additional urban families. A beneficiary family means husband, wife, unmarried sons and unmarried daughters. Families in EWS, LIG and MIG groups who do not own a pucca house anywhere in India can apply.
The new portal brings all PMAY Urban services in one place. Links to the older systems like PMAY MIS (pmaymis.gov.in) and the CLAP portal are available here. The portal shows details of all four verticals of PMAY-U 2.0, namely Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS). Check Name in PMAY-U 2.0 Beneficiary List
People who want to check their name in the PMAY-U list of eligible people 2026 can view their name on the official portal. The list is prepared using SECC-2011 data and is live on the PMAY MIS website.
STEP 1 - Visit the official website at pmay-urban.gov.in.
STEP 2 - Click on the "PMAY MIS" tab in the main menu.
STEP 3 - Take the mouse over the "Search Beneficiary" link in the main menu and click "Search by Name" or "Search by Aadhaar".

STEP 4 - Enter the name or the first three letters of the name and click the "SHOW" button.

Track PMAY-U 2.0 Application Status
When a person applies for PMAY Urban online through pmaymis.gov.in or a Common Service Center, an acknowledgement receipt with a photograph and an application number is given. This application number is used to check the status of the application.
STEP 1 - Visit pmay-urban.gov.in and click on the "PMAY MIS" tab in the header.
STEP 2 - Click on "Track Your Assessment Status" under the "Citizen Assessment" tab.

Apply Online for PMAY-U 2.0
New applications for PMAY-U 2.0 are accepted through the Citizen Assessment module on the PMAY MIS website. The official PMAY-U 2.0 page explains the scheme and the application process.
STEP 1 - Open the PMAY-U 2.0 page on pmaymis.gov.in.
STEP 2 - Click on "Citizen Assessment" and select the state and city.
STEP 3 - Fill in the details like Aadhaar number, name, address and family information.
STEP 4 - Submit the form and note down the application number for future tracking.
PMAY-U 2.0 Benefits and Verticals
PMAY-U 2.0 gives financial support of up to ₹2.5 lakh per house to eligible families. A minimum carpet area of 30 square meters is required, and states can increase it up to 45 square meters. The scheme has four verticals.
Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) - Under BLC, eligible EWS families get central support of up to ₹2.5 lakh to build a house on their own land. This is the most popular vertical of PMAY-U 2.0.
Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) - Under AHP, central support is given for EWS houses in projects where at least 35% of the houses are for EWS families. A single project should have at least 250 houses.
Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) - Under ARH, rental housing is provided to urban migrants and poor families near their workplaces. This vertical helps people who do not want to buy a house but need a good place to rent.
Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS) - Under ISS, eligible EWS, LIG and MIG families get interest subsidy on home loans taken on or after 1 September 2024. This vertical replaced the old Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) of PMAY-U. Read PMAY Home Loan Subsidy Scheme for EWS LIG for more details.

As per the 7th CSMC meeting held in June 2026, more than 16.13 lakh houses have been sanctioned under PMAY-U 2.0 alone, and 97% of the sanctioned houses are allotted to women. Overall, 1.27 crore houses have been sanctioned, 1.20 crore grounded and 98.60 lakh completed and delivered under both versions of the scheme.
