Rajasthan Shramik Durghatna Sahayata Yojana Application Process

Hita-dhikari Samanya Athava Durghatana Me Mrityu Ya Ghayal Hone Ki Dasha Me Sahayata Yojana Eligibility

• Registered construction workers (Hita-dhikari) between 18 and 60 years of age are eligible for this scheme.
• The worker must be registered under Section 12 of the BOCW Act with the Mandal and must have been paying regular contributions. In case of death, a relaxation of 3 months is allowed for the regular contribution deadline (as per Notification dated 21.09.2015).

Nominee / Heir

The nominee designated by the registered construction worker under the Rajasthan Rules framed under the Act is the first heir. If no nominee is named, the husband or wife (as applicable) of the worker is the heir. If neither spouse nor nominee exists, the adult son or unmarried daughter takes the position. In the absence of all these, the father or mother of the worker is recognized as the heir.

Rajasthan Shramik Durghatna Sahayata Yojana Assistance Amount

The payable assistance for the registered construction worker in case of death, permanent disability, or injury is as follows:

• Accidental death — ₹5,00,000
• Permanent total disability (loss of both eyes, or both hands, or both feet) — ₹3,00,000
• Permanent partial disability (loss of one hand or one foot) — ₹1,00,000
• Serious injury requiring hospitalization for at least 5 days — up to ₹20,000. The determination of serious injury is based on the medical certificate issued by the Medical Board.
• Simple injury requiring hospitalization for less than 5 days — up to ₹5,000
• General (natural) death of the construction worker — ₹75,000

Note: The assistance payable under this scheme is in addition to the amount received from the Chief Minister Assistance Fund. The beneficiary gets both the CM assistance and the BOCW scheme benefit together.

Application Submission Timeline

1. In case of injury — within 6 months of discharge from the hospital.
2. In case of death — within 1 year from the date of death.
