Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is a welfare scheme by the Telangana government that gives one-time cash support for the marriage of minority community girls. The scheme was launched on 02nd October 2014 to stop child marriage and ease the money burden on families, and it continues to take online applications through the Telangana ePASS portal in 2026.
Under this scheme, an eligible bride from a minority community gets ₹1,00,116 as financial help, and a disabled bride gets ₹1,25,145. The amount goes directly into the bank account of the bride's mother. For the 2026-27 period, eligible families can apply online through the official Telangana ePASS website.
Shaadi Mubarak Scheme - Introduction
Shaadi Mubarak Scheme focuses on minority communities in Telangana. The money is transferred directly to the mother's bank account, which keeps the support safe and helps families celebrate weddings without taking on debt. The scheme also encourages girls to stay in school and marry only after they turn 18.
The scheme works alongside Kalyana Lakshmi, which supports brides from other communities. Together these two schemes have a large annual outlay. The Telangana government sets aside funds in the state budget each year to cover all eligible brides, so the benefit keeps reaching families regularly.
