An additional hostel allowance covers 50% of hostel charges, excluding mess, up to ₹30,000 per year. If the student already gets a scholarship or cash benefit for the same year under any other UT or central scheme, including post matric scholarship, that amount is deducted from the benefit paid under this scheme.
Eligibility
These are the main conditions to apply for the scheme.
- The applicant must be a girl student.
- Father, husband, guardian or mother of the girl student must be a domicile resident of the UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
- The student should have studied Std 8th to 12th in any school of the UT. For a diploma taken after SSC or 10th, the student should have studied Std 6th to 10th in a school of the UT.
- Only the first two daughters of a family can get the benefit.
