Eligibility
An applicant is eligible if they are a Tiatr artiste or the legal representative of a deceased artiste. The right category depends on the activity status of the artiste, and there are clear rules for each one.
- Category I: For deceased or inactive artistes. The applicant must submit scripts or a collection of at least 50 songs, with or without musical scores.
- Category II: For active Tiatr artistes. The applicant must submit scripts or a collection of at least 100 songs, with or without musical scores.
- Category III: For individuals or publishers managing their own printing. The work must meet all scheme standards, and a written NOC from the author is needed if the applicant is a publisher.
Example: If Rohan is an active Tiatr artiste, he should apply under Category II and must have a collection of 100 songs. If Maria is the daughter of a retired legend, she can apply under Category I on her parent's behalf with 50 songs. Preference is always given to works by artistes of yesteryears.
Application Process
The application process is done offline. An applicant gathers the required materials and submits them to the registered office of Tiatr Academy of Goa.
STEP 1 - Download and print the prescribed application form or collect a hard copy from the Academy office.
STEP 2 - Fill in the details carefully, sign and date the document, and attach the required documents with 3 typed copies of the manuscript.
STEP 3 - Deliver the application, required documents, and manuscripts to the Tiatr Academy of Goa, AS-1 / AS-4, Block A, 2nd Floor, Campal Trade Centre, Opposite Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji, Goa, 403001.
The application then goes through a review by the Recommendation Board. If approved, the applicant provides a digital copy on a CD, DVD, or pen drive for editorial checking. Once the editorial board completes the check, printing starts on a first-come, first-served basis as funds allow.
