NPC Students Internship Program 2026 - Overview

NPC Students Internship Program is run by the National Productivity Council, which works under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The scheme gives students hands-on exposure to IT-enabled interventions and professional work environments, where they apply their academic knowledge to real-world tasks.

Interns can choose from many fields such as Economic Services, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Agri Business Group, Training Group, Administration and Finance Group, Productivity Awareness, Centre of Excellence - Industry 4.0, Industrial Engineering and ICRO. Application Process

STEP 1 - Open the NPC Student Internship online form on the official website npcindia.gov.in. Fill in your name exactly as recorded in the matriculation or secondary examination certificate, along with date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email ID and address.

STEP 2 - Select the discipline area for the internship from options like Economic Services, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Agri Business Group, Training Group, Administration and Finance Group, Productivity Awareness, Centre of Excellence - Industry 4.0, Industrial Engineering and ICRO. Pick the location area from options like Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Patna.

STEP 3 - Enter your education details, including the present qualification, the degree being pursued and the name of your college or institute. Mention the total internship period in months and upload the internship letter in PDF format.

STEP 4 - Read the declaration, confirm that the details are correct, and submit the form. NPC checks the applications and shortlisted students receive confirmation through email.

Students who want to apply offline can still download the application form, sign it, attach self-attested documents and send them to Director (HRM), National Productivity Council, New Delhi - 110003 through their college or university authorities.
