Rajasthan's Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Beema Yojana, launched on May 1, 2021, has been renamed Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAAY) since February 2024. The scheme offers cashless medical treatment of up to ₹25 lakh per family every year plus ₹10 lakh accident cover to residents of Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency (RSHAA) runs the scheme under the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department. More than 1.4 crore families in the state are registered under it, which makes it one of the largest state health cover schemes in the country. Treatment is available at 778 government hospitals, 8 central government hospitals and over 521 empanelled private hospitals, including some selected hospitals in Delhi and Kolkata.
Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (Chiranjeevi Yojana)
In February 2024 the state government gave the old Chiranjeevi health scheme a new name and brought it under the Ayushman Bharat umbrella. The core benefit has stayed the same: cashless treatment of up to ₹25 lakh per family per year, covering more than 2,200 diseases and procedures. The old portal at chiranjeevi.rajasthan.gov.in has moved to a new official website at maayojana.rajasthan.gov.in.
The scheme keeps the same two-fold structure. Families listed under the National Food Security Act and the Socio-Economic Census get free cover, while other families can join by paying an annual premium of ₹850. Everyone needs a Jan Aadhar card to get the benefit.
