Mukhya Mantri Swarojgar Yojana was a Madhya Pradesh self-employment loan scheme that gave bank loans from ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh with margin money support and interest subsidy. As of August 2026, fresh applications under this scheme are not taken. Madhya Pradesh government merged it into Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana through a gazette notification dated 29 November 2021, and all new self-employment loan applications now go through that single scheme at msme.mponline.gov.in.
Notice for readers: Mukhya Mantri Swarojgar Yojana has been closed and merged. Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana and Mukhyamantri Krishak Udyami Yojana were merged in the same order. If you want a business loan in Madhya Pradesh now, apply under Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana. Details of both the old scheme and the running replacement are given below.
Mukhya Mantri Swarojgar Yojana - What It Offered
Started on 1 August 2014 by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, this scheme helped small traders, service providers and first-time business owners in Madhya Pradesh get bank loans between ₹50,000 and ₹10 lakh. Along with the loan, applicants got margin money support, interest subsidy, loan guarantee cover and basic business training. Repayment ran from 6 months up to 7 years.
Margin money support depended on the category of the applicant. General category applicants got 15% of the project cost up to ₹1 lakh. People from BPL families, SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), women, minority and disabled applicants got 30% up to ₹2 lakh. Liberated nomad and semi-nomadic tribe applicants got 30% up to ₹3 lakh, and Bhopal gas victims got an extra 20% up to ₹1 lakh.
Interest subsidy under the old scheme was 5% a year, and 6% a year for women running the unit, for up to 7 years, with a cap of ₹25,000 per year. Eligibility was simple. Permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, class 5th pass, age between 18 and 45 years, family not paying income tax, and no loan default with any bank. Benefit was once in a lifetime, and people already getting money help from another self-employment scheme were not covered.

Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana - Scheme Running Now
Madhya Pradesh government launched Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana and brought three older self-employment schemes under it. Loan size here is much bigger. Eligible people can get ₹1 lakh to ₹50 lakh as a bank loan without giving any property as security. Government pays 3% interest subsidy every year for up to 7 years, and also pays the CGTMSE guarantee fee, so that cost does not fall on the applicant.
Who can apply has also changed from the old rules. Applicant should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, aged 18 to 40 years, and at least 12th pass, with a relaxation to 8th pass in some sectors. Yearly family income should stay under ₹12 lakh. Only a new business unit is covered, not an already running one, and Udyam Registration is required. Bank defaulters and people who already took a loan under another government scheme are not covered.
