Lakshya Scheme, launched by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Tripura, helps UPSC civil services aspirants from Tripura with financial support. The scheme covers coaching expenses and travel costs for students preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

For 2026, the Tripura government continues this scholarship through the Beneficiary Management System (BMS) portal. The Higher Education Department runs the scheme and disburses funds via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to eligible candidates who clear the UPSC CSE.

The Lakshya Scheme assists candidates at two stages of the UPSC exam. Those who clear the Prelims exam receive funds for coaching and travel, while candidates invited for the interview round get additional financial support. This scheme helps local aspirants remain competitive with candidates from other states.

The application process is fully online through the BMS portal. Candidates apply using their mobile number and submit required documents in the prescribed format. The Department runs the scheme and processes applications, disbursing funds directly to eligible candidates.
