Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam is a social welfare scheme of the Telangana government that provides one-time financial support for the marriage expenses of unmarried girls from SC, ST, BC, and EBC communities. Online registration for the scheme is open through the official ePASS portal at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

Telangana launched Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam on 2 October 2014 through the Backward Classes Welfare Department. In 2026, eligible families can apply online, check application status, and update the bride's mother's bank account details for verification as per the latest government order.

Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam - Introduction

Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam helps poor families in Telangana cut down the money burden of a daughter's wedding. The scheme gives one-time cash support directly to the bank account of the bride, so the family can conduct the marriage without taking high-interest loans.

So far, around 10 lakh marriages have been supported under this scheme, and the state budget keeps allocating funds for it every year. The scheme is separate from Shaadi Mubarak, which covers minority community families.
