How to Apply for Janani Suraksha Yojana
Most women in Madhya Pradesh never fill any form themselves. Registration happens through the ASHA worker of the village or ward during pregnancy checkups. Still, the state portal also allows an online request. Steps for both ways are given below.
STEP 1 - Meet the ASHA worker of your area as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed and get your name entered in the Mother and Child Protection (MCP) card. This entry is what links you to the payment later.
STEP 2 - Complete your antenatal checkups at the sub centre, PHC or CHC. Keep the MCP card with you at every visit because the checkup entries are matched before the payment is approved.
STEP 3 - For the online route, go to the Madhya Pradesh Lok Seva portal at mpedistrict.gov.in and click on Citizen Registration. Enter your name, mobile number and gender, then confirm the OTP that comes on your phone.
STEP 4 - Log in with the same mobile number, open the Apply Online Service section and pick Janani Suraksha Yojana from the service list. Fill the form, upload the scanned documents and submit it. Note down the reference number shown on the screen.
