The Directorate of Social Welfare has started accepting fresh and renewal applications for the 2026-27 academic session through this portal. The application window opened on June 6, 2026 and will remain open for students till November 30, 2026.

Schools, colleges and other institutions must check the online applications and submit them to the department on or before December 5, 2026. Aadhaar seeding is required for the scholarship amount to be released, so students should keep their bank account linked with Aadhaar before applying.

Application Process

Applications for this scheme are accepted only on the official Chief Minister Scholarship Portal. New students need to register first, and existing users can log in directly and apply.

Registration Steps

STEP 1 - Visit the official Chief Minister Scholarship Portal at cmscholarship.goa.gov.in and click on the 'Register' option on the homepage.

STEP 2 - Select the student registration option and enter personal details such as name, Aadhaar number, contact number and address.

STEP 3 - Create a strong password, click the 'Register' button and verify the details to complete the registration.

Application Steps

STEP 1 - Log in with the registered credentials on the Login Page of the portal.

STEP 2 - Select Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for OBC (Dhangar) Students from the list of schemes shown on the dashboard.

STEP 3 - Choose 'Fresh Application' or 'Renewal' as per your case, fill in the required information and upload the required documents.

STEP 4 - Submit the application so that it goes to the institution for online verification, and keep a note of the application number for future reference.

If the school or college finds any error, the application may be returned for correction. Students can track the application status using their Aadhaar number and date of birth.
