Andaman and Nicobar Bed and Breakfast and Home Stay Establishment Scheme encourages homeowners across the islands to offer clean, affordable and quality accommodation to tourists through a standardized process. Directorate of Tourism, Andaman and Nicobar Administration operates this scheme under the Incredible India Bed and Breakfast and Home Stay Establishment guidelines, and homeowners can still register new bed and breakfast properties through the National Single Window System (NSWS) in 2026.
The basic idea is simple. Tourists get to stay with local families, enjoy island food and experience the local way of living, while homeowners earn extra income from their spare rooms. The scheme sets service standards so that guests get a safe, comfortable and clean stay.
Andaman and Nicobar Bed and Breakfast and Home Stay Establishment Scheme - Introduction
Directorate of Tourism, Andaman and Nicobar Administration implements this scheme across the islands following the national Incredible India Bed and Breakfast and Home Stay Establishment guidelines. It gives travelers a chance to stay with local families, experience island traditions and taste authentic cuisine, while also adding more tourist accommodation across the region.
