- Student must be a native of Madhya Pradesh and belong to a scheduled tribe, with a digital caste certificate in hand.
- Total family income from all sources should not be more than ₹6 lakh in a year. So if the parents together earn ₹4.5 lakh, the student is eligible.
- Class 10 must be passed with 60 percent marks or more, and the student should be entering class 11 or already studying in class 11 or 12.
- Bank account of the student has to be linked with Aadhaar, otherwise payments and verification get stuck.
- Final selection happens through the entrance test conducted by the coaching institute for each stream.
Benefits Given Under Akanksha Scheme
Coaching in big cities costs lakhs of rupees, and that is the exact gap this scheme covers. Tribal students who clear the entrance test study at reputed institutes without paying the regular fee.
Coaching runs for two years, class 11 and class 12 together, so the same batch keeps getting support till the board exam year. Hostel or accommodation support is given with the coaching, and school teaching for class 11 and 12 is also arranged so that students do not lose their regular studies while preparing.
Fee support depends on family income, and students from lower income families get a bigger share of the fee covered by the department. Payment goes directly to the empanelled institute as per department rules.
Documents Required
