Andhra Pradesh government's Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam land resurvey program has covered more than 6,688 villages so far, with pattadar passbooks already handed out to 26.4 lakh landowners across the state.
State government now plans to finish the remaining survey work and hand out close to 90 lakh error free passbooks by March 2027, as announced by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at a recent district collectors conference.

Landowners can check resurvey status, Adangal and 1B records anytime on Meebhoomi portal, official land records website of Andhra Pradesh.
STEP 1 - Go to meebhoomi.ap.gov.in and pick district, mandal and village from drop down menu on homepage.
STEP 2 - Click on "Adangal (1-B)" or "Resurvey Details" option, depending on which record is needed.
STEP 3 - Enter survey number or khata details asked on screen, and resurvey status along with passbook number will show up for download.
Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Land Resurvey Scheme 2026
Program started as YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam in December 2020 under then Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, with survey teams flagged off simultaneously from Takkellapadu village in Krishna district. Around 4,500 survey teams and 15,000 surveyors took up work at an estimated cost of ₹987 crore, covering marking of boundaries, passbook distribution and mobile courts for on the spot dispute resolution.
Change in State Government and Scheme Continuation
NDA government led by Chandrababu Naidu took charge in Andhra Pradesh in June 2024 and has continued resurvey work, now referred to in official records as Resurvey Project 2.0. Naidu government has accused previous YSRC administration of placing large parcels of land under Section 22A without proper basis, which has slowed down a few pending disputes from getting resolved.

State redesigned pattadar passbooks in 2026 with blockchain based record keeping and QR code security. Scanning QR code lets a landowner or bank pull up matching land details from digital database instantly, cutting down on fake or duplicate passbooks.

Land Survey Progress Across Andhra Pradesh Villages
Resurvey work covers close to 1.26 lakh square km across villages, towns and cities in state, leaving out forest land. Officials split work into 3 phases across 13 districts.
- First phase covered about 5,000 villages taken up early, mostly areas with fewer recorded land disputes.
- Second phase added 6,500 villages, including districts with higher case pendency in revenue courts.
- Third phase covers remaining 5,500 villages, largely hill and border areas where survey teams needed more time.

Need and Background of Land Resurvey Program
Andhra Pradesh had not conducted a full land survey in over 100 years before this program started, which left many villages with outdated or missing boundary records. Survey teams made up of two surveyors, a VRO and a VRA cover each village, filming every survey number on drone camera and storing footage digitally. Mobile tribunals were also set up on directions of state government to settle boundary disputes on the spot.
Security of Land Records and Data
Land records collected during resurvey are stored so that no single official can change them without leaving a trail.
