Mukhyamantri Sukhad Rahat Yojana
226 blocks of 22 districts of Jharkhand state (except East Singhbhum and Simdega) have been declared drought prone. In view of the drought situation, an amount of Rs 3500 (advance) will be given to the farmer family for immediate drought relief in 226 blocks of 22 districts. This amount will be made available to all the affected farmer families of these 226 blocks soon. According to the drought assessment report by the Agriculture Department, 226 blocks of 22 districts are in the grip of drought in the state.
In such a situation, it is the moral responsibility of the state government to provide immediate drought relief amount to the affected farmer families. More than 30 lakh farmer families of the state are in the grip of drought, who will be able to get its benefits. So, Mukhyamantri Sukhad Rahat Yojana has been launched to provide financial assistance to farmers.
