Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana (MKUY) is a flagship scheme of the Odisha government launched on 1 June 2018 to promote agro based and food processing industries. The scheme is implemented by the Agricultural Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (APICOL) under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment. The state government has revised the scheme under the MKUY 2024 guidelines to make the process simple, transparent and time bound for agri entrepreneurs.

For SC, ST, women, transgender, persons with disabilities and graduates of agriculture and allied disciplines, the subsidy is 50% of the fixed capital investment up to a maximum of Rs. 1 crore. Group entities like Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), cooperatives and companies are also eligible for the subsidy.

The application for MKUY is now submitted online through the Sugam portal at sugam.odisha.gov.in by selecting APICOL and then Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyoga Yojana. The entrepreneur has to pay a non refundable application fee of Rs. 2000, while the fee is Rs. 500 for SC, ST, women, transgender, WSHG, GPLF, BLF, DLF, persons with disabilities and agriculture graduates. The subsidy is released directly to the Aadhaar linked bank account of the entrepreneur after completion of the project.

How to Apply Online for Agriculture Scheme in Odisha

Below is the complete process to apply online for the Agriculture Scheme in Odisha.

STEP 1 - Visit the official Sugam portal at sugam.odisha.gov.in and register or log in with your details.

STEP 2 - Select APICOL and then Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyoga Yojana (MKUY) from the list of schemes available on the portal.

STEP 3 - Read the prerequisites and then click on the Registration button to start the application. The registration form can also be accessed directly at mkuy.apicol.nic.in/Prerequisites/Prerequisites.

STEP 4 - Fill in the applicant details, project information, proposed location of the commercial agri enterprise with land particulars, and upload the required documents. Pay the application fee online through the payment gateway and submit the form.

STEP 5 - After submission, the application is verified by the Block Level Officer and the District Level Committee issues the Go Ahead letter within a maximum of 52 days. A) Passport size photograph of the applicant.

B) Identity proof such as Voter ID or Aadhaar number.

D) Land record or lease document for a minimum of 15 years from the date of application, where Khata number and Plot number are reflected.

This scheme allows innovators to get a monthly assistance of Rs. 20,000. If any farmer wants to improve their tools and implements, the government provides assistance up to Rs. 15 lakh.
