MP Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana 2026 Overview

Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana was launched on 1 August 2014 by Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan under the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is Dr. Mohan Yadav. The scheme gives loans from ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh to help citizens start their own business or industry.

The scheme is run by the MSME department along with several other departments including Panchayat and Rural Development, Cottage and Village Industries, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Urban Development and Housing, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Tribal Welfare and the Vimukt Ghumakkad and Ardh Ghumakkad Tribes welfare department.

Since the scheme has been merged into Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, eligible youth now apply for self employment loans under the new scheme. The Udyam Kranti Yojana offers collateral-free loans from ₹1 lakh to ₹50 lakh for manufacturing enterprises and from ₹1 lakh to ₹25 lakh for service and retail units. No guarantor is required for loans up to ₹25 lakh.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions to apply for the scheme:

  • Age between 18 and 45 years.
  • Minimum qualification of 5th pass.
  • No income limit, but the applicant's family should not already be established in industry or trade as an income tax payer.
  • Must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Should not be a defaulter or bankrupt at any bank or financial institution.
  • Should not be getting benefit of any other self employment scheme.
  • Can take benefit of the scheme only once.

Financial Support

Under the scheme, financial support is given in the form of margin money, interest subsidy and guarantee fee. The details are given below.

  • General category: 15% of project cost, up to ₹1 lakh.
  • BPL, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC (excluding creamy layer), women, minority and disabled: 30% of project cost, up to ₹2 lakh.
  • Vimukt Ghumakkad and Ardh Ghumakkad tribes: 30% of project cost, up to ₹3 lakh.
  • Bhopal gas affected families: additional 20% of project cost, up to ₹1 lakh.

Interest subsidy is given at 5% per year on the project cost, and 6% per year for women entrepreneurs, for a maximum of 7 years (up to ₹25,000 per year). The guarantee fee under CGTMSE or CGFMU is also paid at the prevailing rate for up to 7 years.
