Kanyadan Yojana (Section 22(1)(h)): Haryana Labour Department runs Kanyadan Yojana (कन्यादान योजना) to help registered construction workers on the occasion of their daughter's marriage. Under Haryana Kanyadan Yojana, all registered labourers with the BOCW Board get financial support of ₹51,000 as Kanya Daan on the wedding of their daughters. Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Board provides ₹51,000 as Kanyadan to registered labourers for their daughter's marriage. This Haryana Kanyadan Yojana amount is given by the Labour Department for the marriage of up to 3 daughters of a single family. The labourers can get this support as Kanya Daan only for their daughter's marriage, not for their son's marriage. This amount is in addition to the ₹50,000 support under Haryana Labour Welfare Board Marriage Assistance Scheme.

For the wedding of a registered worker's daughter, the board also provides ₹50,000 as financial support, for which a separate online application is required. So on the marriage of a beneficiary's daughter, the total support works out to ₹51,000 (Kanyadan Yojana) plus ₹50,000 (financial support on the wedding of a daughter), which comes to ₹1,01,000.

Important: only registered labourers with the BOCW Board in Haryana can apply for Kanyadan Yojana. Also, the marriage must be registered under the Marriage Registration Act. In addition, both the bride and the groom must have reached the legal age of marriage.

How to Get Benefits of Kanyadan Yojana in Haryana

Candidates can get the benefits of Kanyadan Yojana in Haryana by meeting the following conditions.

• The labourer must be registered and must have at least one year of membership.
• The marriage card and application form must be certified by a gazetted officer.
• The age proof of the bride and groom (self attested copy) must be attached. The minimum age of marriage for the bride is 18 years, while the minimum age of marriage for the groom is 21 years.
• Marriage Registration Certificate is required.
• Applicants must produce the marriage registration certificate along with other documents within 1 year of the marriage.

The applicant must also make a self declaration that he has not got any other support from any other board, department or corporation and will never do so.
