मुख्यमंत्री चिकित्सा सहायता कोष योजना: Himachal Pradesh govt. provides Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh Yojana 2026 for treatment of serious diseases. Poor people who are unable to afford the cost of serious ailments get support under MMCSKY. The Kosh works along with Ayushman Bharat, HIMCARE, Free Medicines, Sahara and Nikshay Poshan Yojana to cover health treatment costs of poor families in the state.

MMCSK has been set up to provide support to needy poor people of the state who are having serious ailments. The benefit under Raahat Kosh is being provided since 20 October 2018. What is HP Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh Yojana 2026

Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh is a state-level fund made for poor families who cannot pay for the treatment of serious diseases. The Kosh covers treatment costs in government hospitals and also helps with OPD and other related expenses. Eligible people can get support for cancer treatment, heart surgeries, kidney transplant, brain surgeries and other major ailments.

Hospitals under Mukhyamantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh Yojana

The eligible person can take treatment in all the Government Hospitals in Himachal Pradesh, PGIMER Chandigarh, GMCH Sector-32, Chandigarh and AIIMS, New Delhi and hospitals empanelled under various Govt. health insurance schemes running in Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Pradesh MMCSKY Eligibility Criteria

Financial support is given to only those persons having annual income up to ₹1.50 lakh.

Income Certificate Requirement under MMCSKY

The MMCSKY applicant will produce the income certificate from the competent authority at the time of submission of application for support from Kosh. However in case of following ailments, there is no requirement of income certificate:-

• Cancer treatment of any type.
• Renal transplantation for kidney failure patients.
• Major heart surgeries including bypass and valve replacement.
• ASD, VSD, Valve Replacement and Bye Pass Surgeries.
• Major Spine Surgeries.
• Major Brain Surgeries.

Following documents are required to be produced at the time of seeking support from Kosh:-

• Income certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Treatment cost estimate from the concerned hospital if the treatment has not been taken.
• Original verified bills from the concerned doctor if the treatment has already been taken by the eligible person.
• Ayushman Bharat or HIMCARE card, if available.
• Photo ID proof of the eligible person.
• Aadhaar card.
• Photocopy of bank passbook showing the bank account details of the eligible person.

How to Apply for HP Mukhya Mantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh Yojana

STEP 1 - Collect all the required documents such as income certificate, treatment cost estimate or verified bills, photo ID proof, Aadhaar card and bank passbook copy.

STEP 2 - Submit the application along with the documents to the office of Hon'ble Chief Minister or Health Minister. The eligible person can also submit the application to the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district directly or through the concerned MLA.

STEP 3 - The Deputy Commissioner will forward the application completed in all respects to the office of Hon'ble Chief Minister or Health Minister.

STEP 4 - After verification and approval, the support amount is released to the eligible person's bank account or to the concerned hospital.
