Eligibility Criteria for Haryana Widow Pension Scheme

A woman of age 18 years and above can apply for the pension if she meets the conditions given below.

• She must be a permanent resident of Haryana and should have been living in the state for the last one year at the time of submitting the application.
• Her own annual income from all sources must be below Rs. 3 lakh.
• Any one of the three conditions must be met. She is a widow, or she is destitute without husband, parents and son(s), or she is destitute due to desertion or physical or mental incapacity of the husband in case of married women or of parents in case of other women.
• A woman employed by any government or local or statutory body, or drawing a pension or family pension from any such body, will not be eligible under this scheme.

Haryana Widow Pension Amount 2026

Each widow and destitute woman gets a monthly pension under the Haryana Widow Pension Scheme 2026. The pension has been raised over the years. It was Rs. 2,750 from 1 April 2023, then Rs. 3,000 from 1 January 2024, and now Rs. 3,200 per month from 1 November 2025. The amount is paid directly to the bank account of the beneficiary.

• Death certificate of the husband in case of a widow, or the FIR copy of the missing person report if the husband has been missing for the past 7 years.
• Destitute certificate in case of a destitute woman.
• Aadhaar card and a saving bank account with a photocopy of the passbook.
• Residential proof for the domicile of Haryana issued before the date of application. Any one of these documents can be used: ration card, voter card, name in the voter list, PAN card, driving licence, passport, electricity or water bill, documents of house and land, copy of LIC policy, registered rent deed of the house, or the permanent resident certificate of Haryana.

Note: In case a widow belonged to a state other than Haryana before marriage, the domicile of her husband who has lived in Haryana for more than 15 years needs to be proved through any of the documents listed above.

Fees for the Service

Government charges are Rs. 0, Kendra service charges are Rs. 10, while Atal Seva Kendra (CSC) service charges are Rs. 30. The RTS time limit for the Widow and Destitute Pension Scheme is 60 days.

Candidates can now check the Widow Pension status and also track the Widow Pension beneficiary details as follows.

STEP 1 - Visit the official website at https://pension.socialjusticehry.gov.in/.

STEP 2 - On the homepage, click on the option to view pension details by Aadhaar, pension ID or account number, or directly open https://pension.socialjusticehry.gov.in/Ben_Inf.

STEP 3 - A new window with the heading "Track Beneficiary Pension Details" will open. A representative image is shown in the figure below.

STEP 4 - Here candidates can track the Widow Pension beneficiary details through the pension ID, account number with IFSC code, or Aadhaar number, and enter the security code.

STEP 5 - Finally, candidates can click on the "View Details" button to display the Widow Pension beneficiary status.
