Uttarakhand Free Mobile Tablet Scheme Launched

Uttarakhand Free Mobile Tablet scheme for students has been launched by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on 1 January 2022. About 2,65,000 students of Class 10 and 12 of degree colleges and state schools will get benefit from this scheme, as per government data. The state government official said that Rs. 12,000 was given by the DBT for buying mobile tablets to class 10 and 12 students of state government schools.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed free tablets to 100 girl students of the Government Girls Inter College of Dehradun’s Rajpur Road. On Saturday, this programme was organised in all the 70 Vidhan Sabhas of the state. Through DBT, funds has already been transferred to 1 lakh 59 thousand students of class 10th and 12th of government schools for buying tablet.

Need for Uttarakhand Free Smartphone Scheme

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “During the Corona period, children had to face lots of difficulties in taking online classes. Keeping in mind the problems that the children faced, tablets are being given to them by the government. CM further said that India is a young country with 65 per cent of the country’s population below 35 years of age. The country is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India is becoming self-reliant.

CM said that all possible efforts are being made by the state government for the qualitative improvement of education in the state. “Virtual classes are being run in 500 schools of the state under digital learning. These services will soon be started in 600 other schools also. 1,418 smart classes are being set up in 709 government schools of the state, this work will be completed by January 15, 2022”, he added.

Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme 2024 Registration

There is a great news for the Uttarakhand college students as well as govt. school students in classes 10th and 12th. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to provide muft tablets to the students under Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme. The decision to start Free Tab Distribution was part of the announcements made on 20 December 2021 at a public gathering. Uttarakhand govt. will start implementing Muft Tab Yojana soon. The UK Free Tablet Scheme online registration will be invited at the state govt’s website at https://uk.gov.in/ or at a new dedicated portal.

Eligibility Criteria for Uttarakhand Free Tab Scheme 2024

Only those candidates who fulfills the below mentioned criteria would be eligible for Uttarakhand Free Tab Scheme 2024:-

• Applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand state.
• He / She must be studying in any of the government / govt. aided school.
• The annual income of the family of the applicant from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
• The applicant must be cleared in all his previous attended examinations i.e he / she must not have backlogs.

UK Free Tab Yojana Implementation

As per the announcement made by CM, the money would be transferred to each eligible student through DBT. “Money will be transferred to their accounts through DBT. We will ensure that all government universities, schools help these students in buying those tablets,” the chief minister said.

Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme was earlier released in November 2021. On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Uttarakhand government had taken this big decision to distribute tablets to government schools and colleges. UK Muft Tab Yojana to Help Students in Wake of COVID-19

Covid-19 lockdown necessitated online teaching in 10th and 12 class in govt. schools and colleges. However, students in aspirational districts who are not equipped with smartphones, internet and other e-learning material lagged behind. Aspirational districts are backward on parameters like education, health and nutrition, agriculture, water resources and basic infrastructure. The tablets under Uttarakhand Muft Tab Yojana can be used by students as per their convenience.

The study material will be loaded in tablets given under UK Free Tablet Yojana and will be accessible without internet connection. Each tablet will have a 10-inch screen and will have high-resolution quality so that it has no adverse impact on the eyesight of students.

CM even mentioned that Children are our future. The state govt. has started Vatsalya Yojana to take care of children who have lost their parents to the Covid pandemic. They will get a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 under the scheme up to the age of 21. Now govt. has decided to provide free tablets for the students of Class 10 and 12 and colleges.

Other Announcements while Launching Uttarakhand Free Tablet Yojana

Here are some of the other announcements made by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami while launching Uttarakhand Free Tablet Scheme:-

• As per the state government, free textbooks will be provided to the students of classes 9 to 12 in all government schools.
• Along with that, free bags and shoes are also being provided to the students of classes 1 to 8 in government schools.
• The government has also decided to increase the amount of state-level scholarship keeping in mind the interest of the students.
• The amount of the Shivanand Nautiyal State Merit Scholarship has been increased from Rs. 250 to Rs. 1,500 per month and the number of beneficiary students has also been increased from 11 to 100.
• The amount of Sridev Suman scholarship has also been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 1,000.
• Under Chief Minister Pratibha Protsahan Yojana, a scholarship of Rs 2,500 is being given to the meritorious students of class 12 for the next five years.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state that vigilance is necessary to protect one against the new COVID-19 variant Omicron. He said that everyone must follow the appropriate COVID-19 behaviour. “All preparations have been made by the government to protect against corona, but vigilance is very important to prevent it”, said Dhami.
