Delhi government has started a new scheme to give monthly financial support to persons with disabilities who need high support. Under this scheme, a fixed help of ₹6000 will be given every month directly into the bank account of eligible beneficiaries.
This amount can be used for caregiver salary, physiotherapy, speech therapy, counseling, assistive devices and other required services. The scheme has been approved by the Delhi Cabinet and launched to give both economic relief and social security to families managing disability challenges.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said this scheme will not only cover money needs but also help disabled persons live with dignity and independence. She added that persons with disabilities are a very important part of society and deserve to be treated as active and respected members, not just as people seeking sympathy.
The financial support is linked with Aadhaar verification, and only Delhi residents who meet the set rules will get the benefit. Applications are now open and can be submitted through the e-District portal.
