About Comprehensive Registration of Pesticides Portal
The broad aim of CROP is to be a modern IT solution built on current technical platforms and practices. The existing government processes have been reworked in close consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture. This is needed to improve service delivery through an integrated IT solution for Comprehensive Registration of Pesticides with the following objectives:
- To develop a real-time, easy to use IT solution without any manual intervention
- To connect with all the people involved in the system for better efficiency
- To build Dashboard at different levels of hierarchy for faster delivery of services
- MIS Reports based on the day to day needs of the Ministry, Department, CIBRC, and other departments of the system

Through Comprehensive Registration of Pesticides (CROP) portal, central govt. wants to set up an enterprise wide registration of pesticides that:-

- Improves control,
- Brings clarity in operations,
- Builds responsibility at all levels,
- Stays useful in the long run,
- Makes things easy for all people involved
As per the Centre for Good Governance, the CROP portal issued 20,391 certificates in 2025-26. This included 16,078 Form 1 certificates, 490 Form C certificates, 3,570 endorsements and 253 import permits. The total fee collected through these certificates was around ₹3,999 lakh.
