Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme (AABCS) is run by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Tamil Nadu. It helps Adi Dravidar and Tribal (SC/ST) people start new businesses or expand existing ones. The scheme covers production, business and service sectors, including food processing, garments, departmental stores, beauty parlours, gymnasiums, concrete mixture units and cab services.
Under the scheme, 35% of the eligible project cost is given as capital subsidy, not exceeding ₹1.5 crore. The project cost covers land, plant, machinery, testing equipment and computing devices, with the cost of land not exceeding 20% of the project cost. Vehicles are considered when they are part of the business process. Along with this, a 6% interest subvention is given on loans taken to buy machinery and equipment during the loan tenure, which cannot exceed 10 years. Working capital sanctioned for the project gets interest subvention for up to 2 years.

Eligibility for Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme
