West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme: State Capital Investment Subsidy supports textile entrepreneurs by offering money help on fixed capital investments. Managed by the Department of MSME&T, this scheme encourages production across the textile value chain, from raw fibers to finished apparel, helping businesses grow while creating new job opportunities within the state.
West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme: State Capital Investment Subsidy - Introduction
West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme: State Capital Investment Subsidy exists to boost the local textile industry by offering financial support on capital investments. The scheme serves textile businesses, including manufacturing and processing units, by providing a subsidy on fixed capital investments.
Launched on 13 December, 2022, by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, this program remains valid for five years. It has been modified from time to time and is still open for eligible textile units. It aims to strengthen the textile value chain, from fiber production to the creation of stitched garments, across the state.
By encouraging new units to set up here, this scheme maximizes resource use and generates steady employment. For instance, if an entrepreneur named Rahul decides to open a weaving unit in West Bengal, he can apply for this subsidy to lower his initial setup costs, making the state a preferred hub for his investments.
