Fal Podharopan Yojana is running in all districts of Madhya Pradesh in 2026, and farmers can apply online through the MPFSTS portal of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department. Under this scheme, a farmer planting fruit saplings on private land gets a subsidy of 40% to 50% of the unit cost, which can go up to ₹80,000 for ultra high density plantation with drip irrigation.

Money comes in three parts over three years in a 60:20:20 ratio, so the first year gives the biggest share. Land between 0.25 hectare and 4 hectare is covered, and crops like mango, guava, custard apple, pomegranate, banana and munga are included.

Fal Podharopan Yojana 2026 Details

Horticulture and Food Processing Department of Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme to help farmers set up fruit orchards. Before approving a case, the department looks at your land condition, local climate and the water source you have. That is why irrigation proof matters at the time of applying.

Payment is not given in one go. First year covers planting cost, and the next two years' payments come only after the department checks that the plants are alive and the orchard is being maintained. So keeping the plants healthy after planting is part of getting the full amount.

Apply Online for Fal Podharopan Yojana

Applications are taken on the MP Farmers Subsidy Tracking System portal. Registration is free and the process takes a few minutes if your documents are scanned and ready.

STEP 1 - Open the MPFSTS portal of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department and go to the farmer registration section on the homepage.

STEP 2 - Register with your Aadhaar linked mobile number, verify the OTP and create your farmer login. If you have applied for any horticulture subsidy earlier, use the same login instead of making a new one.

STEP 3 - After logging in, pick Fal Podharopan Yojana from the scheme list, then select your district, block and village along with the khasra details of the land where you want the orchard.

STEP 4 - Fill the details marked with a star, choose the fruit crop and the plantation type, that is normal distance, high density or ultra high density, and mention whether drip irrigation will be used.

STEP 5 - Upload the required documents such as land record, Aadhaar, bank passbook copy and your photo, then submit the form and save the acknowledgement number for tracking the status later.

Offline Application Process

Farmers who face problems with the online form can still apply at the district horticulture office. The staff there also help with filling the online form.

STEP 1 - Visit the office of the Deputy or Assistant Director of Horticulture, or meet the Senior Horticulture Development Officer of your block, and ask for the Fal Podharopan Yojana form.

STEP 2 - Fill the form, paste a recent passport size photo and attach self attested copies of your land papers, Aadhaar and bank passbook.

STEP 3 - Submit the form to the concerned officer and collect the receipt with the submission date and reference number so you can follow up on the case.

Subsidy Amount and Benefits

Subsidy depends on the plantation type and whether drip irrigation is installed. Drip cases have a higher unit cost, so the subsidy amount is also higher.

Plantation Type Subsidy Rate Unit Cost (Without Drip) Subsidy (Without Drip) Unit Cost (With Drip) Subsidy (With Drip)
Normal Distance 40% to 50% ₹60,000 ₹30,000 ₹1,00,000 ₹40,000

Ultra High Density 40% ₹1,25,000 ₹40,000 ₹2,00,000 ₹80,000

Who Can Apply

Rules are simple, but the land record and water source are checked properly before approval. Read the points below before applying.

  • You should be a farmer of Madhya Pradesh and the land should be in your own name in the revenue record.
  • Land taken up for the orchard should be between 0.25 hectare and 4 hectare, so very small plots are not covered.
  • A working irrigation source like a well, tube well or canal should be there, because saplings need water in the first years.
  • Farmers from General, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories can all apply, with separate targets kept for SC and ST farmers.
  • Land should be going under fruit plantation for the first time, not an old orchard being shown again.

Documents Required

Keep scanned copies ready before you start the online form, as the portal asks for uploads during submission.

  • Aadhaar card of the farmer, linked with the mobile number used for the OTP.
  • Land ownership papers such as khasra, khatauni or B1 copy showing the plot details.
  • Bank passbook copy with the account number and IFSC, since payment comes into the bank account.
  • Caste certificate for SC and ST farmers who want the benefit under their category target.
  • Forest Rights Certificate where the land is held under forest rights, and a recent passport size photo.

Status of the Scheme in 2026

Scheme is still open and forms are being taken through the MPFSTS portal during the plantation season, which mostly runs from the monsoon months. District targets are fixed every financial year, so applications are approved as per the target for that district. If the target for your district is over, the case can move to the next year, and the horticulture officer of your block can tell you the current position.

Other farming support schemes of the state are also worth checking, like Nalkoop Khanan Yojana for tube well subsidy and Annapurna Scheme Seed Exchange Programme for subsidised seed.

Help and Contact

For any problem in the application, farmers can contact the district horticulture office or write to the MPFSTS help desk at mpfsts.helpdesk@mp.gov.in. Complaints about pending payment can also be filed on CM Helpline number 181.
