Madhya Pradesh government is running Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana with a monthly cash benefit of ₹1,500 for eligible women, and the payment keeps going out every month through DBT. More than 1.25 crore women of the state get this money straight into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Monthly amount was ₹1,000 when the scheme started in 2023, then it went to ₹1,250, and from November 2025 it was raised to ₹1,500 per month after cabinet approval. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav released the 38th installment of ₹1,500 on 12 July 2026 from Bhind district, and the next installment is expected in the second week of August 2026.
Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana 2026 Details
Scheme was announced on 28 January 2023 by the Madhya Pradesh government and is run by the Women and Child Development Department. Main aim is to give women some regular money in hand so they can take care of their health, nutrition and small household needs without depending on anyone. Money is paid only by DBT, so the bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and DBT enabled.
Spending on this scheme has gone up every year. State government spent ₹14,726.05 crore in 2023-24, ₹19,051.39 crore in 2024-25 and ₹20,318.53 crore in 2025-26. Payment usually reaches accounts around the 10th to 12th of each month, though the date shifts a bit when the Chief Minister releases the money at a public event.

Payment Amount and What Changed in 2026
Every eligible woman now gets ₹1,500 each month instead of ₹1,250. Amount was increased from the November 2025 installment, and all installments in 2026 have been paid at the new rate. So a woman who stays on the list for a full year gets ₹18,000 in a year.
Women below 60 years who already get a social security pension of less than ₹1,500 a month get only the balance amount from this scheme. For example, if someone gets ₹600 as pension, she will get ₹900 more so the total comes to ₹1,500. State government has also talked about taking the amount up to ₹3,000 in a phased way by 2028, but no official order has come for that yet, so treat it as a plan and not a confirmed benefit.
Who Can Apply
Rules for who can get this money have not changed in 2026. Check these points before applying whenever a new registration round opens.
- Woman must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh and should have her Samagra ID linked with Aadhaar.
- Married, widowed, divorced and abandoned women can apply, but unmarried women are not covered under the current rules.
- Age should be between 21 and 60 years on 1 January of the application year, counted from the date of birth on record.
Who Is Not Covered
| Category | Condition |
|---|---|
| Income limit | Total family income above ₹2.5 lakh a year |
| Income tax | Any family member pays income tax |
| Government job | Any family member is a regular or contract employee of a government body, or gets a government pension |
| Land holding | Family owns more than 5 acres of farm land |
| Vehicle | Family owns a four wheeler, other than a tractor |
Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers can still get the benefit as long as they do not fall under the above conditions.
How to Apply Online
New registration is closed right now. Third round of registration has been talked about but no date has been announced by the department. Whenever the portal opens again, the process runs like this at camp level.
STEP 1 - Get the application form free of charge from your Gram Panchayat office, ward office or the camp set up in your area. Forms are not sold anywhere, so do not pay money to anyone for it.
STEP 2 - Fill the form with your name, Samagra ID, family Samagra ID, Aadhaar number and bank details exactly as they appear in the records, and paste a recent photograph on it.
STEP 3 - Take the filled form to the camp or panchayat office. The staff there will enter your details on the Ladli Bahna portal in front of you and click your live photo.
STEP 4 - An OTP will come on the mobile number linked with your Samagra ID. Share it with the operator to finish the submission, and keep the acknowledgement slip safe, since the application number printed on it is needed later.
How to Check Payment Status
Anyone already on the list can check whether the monthly money has been sent. Open cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in, click on the application and payment status option, put in your application number or Samagra ID, enter the captcha and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile. The screen then shows the installment history month by month. A detailed walkthrough is given in the guide on Ladli Behna Yojana payment status.
If the money has been shown as sent but did not reach the account, the usual reason is that the bank account is not DBT enabled or the Aadhaar seeding has broken after a bank merger. Visit the bank branch, get Aadhaar seeding done again and ask them to switch on the DBT flag. For other problems, call the help desk on 0755-2700800 or write to ladlibahna.wcd@mp.gov.in.
Documents Needed
Papers required for the application are simple and no attested certificates are asked for. Self declaration in the form is enough.
- Individual Samagra ID and family Samagra ID, both linked with Aadhaar through e-KYC.
- Aadhaar card of the woman applying, with the correct date of birth on it.
- Own bank account details, single account in the woman's name, Aadhaar-linked and DBT enabled.
- Mobile number registered in the Samagra record, since the OTP comes on that number only.
