Goa government has launched Mukhyamantri Devdarshan Yatra Yojana 2024 on 7 November 2022. Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana Application Form PDF is available to download at goaonline.gov.in. It is a state-sponsored pilgrimage scheme for people which was announced before the Assembly polls held in February 2022. In this Goa tirth yatra scheme, the state govt. will provide free of cost trip to applicants for visiting religious places.
Goa Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana 2024
CM Pramod Sawant has flagged off a bus carrying passengers to mark the start of Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana on 7 November 2022. The bus carries passengers to famous Tirupati shrine in Andhra Pradesh. The seats are booked for the free pilgrimage on the first-cum-first-served basis. The other two destinations promised under Mukhyamantri Devdarshan Yatra Yojana are Velankanni in Tamil Nadu – a popular pilgrim center, especially renowned for the Church of Mother Mary and Shirdi, the famous shrine of Sai Baba located in neighbouring Maharashtra.
Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Devdarshan Yatra Yojana
- Applicant must be a resident of Goa state.
- Only the people above the age of 50 years are eligible to apply for the free pilgrimage scheme in Goa.
Selected Destinations under CM Devdarshan Yatra Scheme
There are a total of 3 selected destinations under Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana as on 7 November 2022:-
- Tirupati Shrine in Andhra Pradesh state.
- Velankanni in Tamil Nadu state.
- Shirdi in Maharashtra state.
Chief minister also mentioned that a doctor, a caretaker and a policeman will accompany pilgrims on the tours under Mukhyamantri Devdarshan Yatra Yojna. The visit to pilgrimages under the scheme are free of cost and the state government will take care of meals and boarding of pilgrims during the tours.
